Why your pass type matters
Your pass type and its validity affect how long you can rent, and whether the owner or HDB needs to confirm extra points.
Prepare before you sign
- The validity of your pass or visa, and when you expect to renew.
- Copies of your passport and pass.
- Identity details of the people who will live with you.
Choosing the lease term
Try not to sign a lease that runs longer than your pass. If you may need to leave early, ask about the early termination clause and what happens to the deposit.
Renting an HDB flat
